Pentecost Restoration & Deliverance Center (PRDC) was founded in 2019 by Pastor Otis Patterson. God spoke to Pastor Patterson and laid upon his heart to start a new ministry. Following the voice of the Lord, God made provisions for the new ministry by providing a place for worship. Apostle J. L. Spence opened the doors of Word Empowerment Church in Durham where PRDC had services every Sunday at 4 o’clock PM. The church started under Pastor Patterson’s leadership as a non-denominational independent church. The first planning meeting was held on September 8, 2019 with the Pastor and the following members:  Bro. Antonio Howard, the late Sis. Rosalind Howard, MIT Jennica Lawson, Reverend Pernestaline (Lene) McAlister, Evangelist Carmille Miles, and Elder Xavier Patterson. Two founding members, Elder Evette Patterson and Sis. Rhea Patterson were unable to attend the meeting. The first church service was held on September 15, 2019 with 30 people in attendance.

As Pastor Patterson continued to seek God’s guidance for the ministry, he heard the voice of God calling him back to the Efland area. In late February, God moved and presented an opportunity to move the ministry to a church building in Mebane that was the home of Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church with Pastor Pauline Slade. The members of PRDC worked tirelessly to assist in the cleaning and restoration of the church building. On March 15, 2020, the first service was held at this location with 12 people in attendance. The pandemic, COVID-19 has prevented further face to face services, but services have continued via live stream.

Pastor, Lady Patterson and their children, Elder Xavier and Sis. Rhea Patterson, all have hearts for the Lord, as well as the people, especially young people!  Pastor calls himself a “casual” Pastor. He says he wants us relaxed, comfortable and free to ask questions about the word of God, so we can receive everything God has for us.  It is Pastor Patterson’s true belief that God is the “Head of this House” and the Bible based word of God will be taught and preached. 

Pastor Patterson desires that PRDC be know for the level of love that we have for God and one another. We are Pentecost, not just church, it’s an experience!
