Pastor Otis Patterson
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
~Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
Pastor Otis L. Patterson, is a resident of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and a native of Dunn, North Carolina. From a child, Pastor Patterson has loved the Lord. Every time the church doors were open, his parents would make sure he was there. Being taught the character of God, love abound in the art of giving. From the young age of five, he pulled a wagon to help his mother gather vegetables from their garden. Before storing any for themselves, they would give to their neighbors. This giving did not stop with their garden. It included meat from the “smokehouse”, clothes, time, and strength. As a “talker”, his parents entered him into many Missionary Baptist Sunday School Convention Oratorical Contests. He came home with many awards from the conventions.

Pastor Patterson is a very gifted individual. With a heart like David, he prides himself in being a praiser; a man who seeks to please God in all he does. Being a perfectionist, he seeks to serve God with a spirit of excellence and humility.

Pastor Patterson was baptized in September 1979 under the pastorate of the Late Leon J. Penny at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Dunn, North Carolina. On August 12, 1989, he took Lady Evette L. Eaton to be his wife. They moved from Charlotte to Chapel Hill in 1993 where Pastor Patterson joined Lady Evette’s home church of New Rock Spring United Church of Christ in Creedmoor. The call of God was strong on his life and continued to grow. Being very active in his church, he taught Sunday School and Bible Study, dreamed dreams and had visions. Remaining faithful to God, he answered the call into ministry under the tutelage of Pastor Richard G. Carnegie, Sr., February 11, 2001. While God did not send him alone, Lady Evette also gave her initial sermon at the same time. Having a heart of love, Pastor Patterson’s gifting of Prophecy, Visions, Dreams, and Interpretation grew. Having strong faith and following the call of God, Bishop Carnegie left New Rock Spring and with the help of both Ministers Patterson and several others, a new ministry, Love Faith & Power Outreach Ministry was birthed in August of 2006 in Durham, North Carolina. In February 2013, under Bishop Carnegie’s leadership, God moved again, and a second ministry was birthed, Love Faith & Power Christian Ministries in Sanford, North Carolina. On April 5, 2014, Bishop Carnegie ordained both Pastor and Lady Patterson as Elders under the Fellowship of Churches of F.A.I.T.H. Ministries, Inc. of Henderson, North Carolina led by presiding Bishop Richard Batts. Pastor Patterson, with the heart of a servant, works diligently in the areas of ministry, prophecy, administration, and leadership in which God places him, and does everything he can to aid in the growth of the KINGDOM.

Pastor Patterson holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science for Respiratory Therapy from Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina, a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management from the American Intercontinental University of Chicago, Illinois, and a Master’s Degree in Health Care Management from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona. He is the proud father of one son, Elder Xavier Dyon Patterson, one daughter, Rhea Monique Patterson, and is a godfather to many. It is Pastor Patterson’s vision that God will use him to bridge the gap between the world and Christ. He believes that it is the will of God for him to bring souls to Christ. His testimony is that God did it before, He will do it again! Don’t measure him by other men, but measure him by the word and how God uses him.
